August 2020 Photo Dump

June started pre-K, we traded days with Nat for Pre-K, art museum trip, zoo trip, MS trip to see the great grandparents (I didn't get many pictures),  and lots of time working on the house.

July 2020 Photo Dump

 I started to do my belated August Photo Dump... and realized I hadn't done July's. Oops! It's relatively small since I already posted about our Eastern KY trip. Other notable July happenings: we started 2nd grade, we made an offer an the house that would finally become ours, we started learning to crochet, the kids had swimming lessons (June learned to swim!), and we spent lots of time at the creek.

August photo dump

August was a big month around here. Coop started Kindergarten, so we relished the last few days with him at home. And we decided (FINALLY!) to really get moving on the kitchen. We ordered cabinets and flooring and arrange for help (paid and unpaid). We started Saturday (Sept 1) scraping the ceiling, and we hope the September photo dump brings a partially reassembled kitchen! Also, our good friends and neighbors moved. We knew it was coming- they started building their house 13 months ago. But it didn't make it any easier to see them go. Thankfully, they are still close by and have come to play, and we see them around town or at soccer. Speaking of- Cooper start playing soccer. He's had a few practices, and games start this weekend!

8/17 thankfully, she tested negative for allergies! her reaction to dairy is classified as an intolerance. We are supposed to keep her away from all dairy for ~9 months, then test it ourselves to see if she's outgrown it. The dr thinks she will.

I knew nothing about growing watermelons. We didn't even plant it! It grew from seeds we spit out last year. It was a success all the way around! It weighed 21.4 lbs and was sweet and juicy. 8/25
