Craving: Nothing really this week

Maternity Clothes: We have been able to wear jeans all week to work, and since I only have one pair of regular jeans that fits, I have worn maternity jeans.  People have started noticing my little bump, too.  So maybe it is time to switch so I will look pregnant and not chubby!

Sleep: This week has been rough again! Not sure why, but I haven't been able to sleep well lately.  Of course, Monday night I know why I couldn't sleep. :)

Aversions: Ground Meat (really wish this would go away!)

Gender prediction: I am thinking boy, J is thinking girl

Feeling: Exhausted!And I have also noticed my balance isn't what it used to be.  I almost fell in the hall just standing there during a tornado warning.  Of course, my whole class saw. :)

Looking Forward to: Going to SC to Caitlin's new apartment this weekend

Movement: Sunday when I was sitting in church I felt something flip over... I looked around like other people could feel it to... ha! When I am still, I can feel little flutters now :)  Still nothing big or constant, but fun nonetheless.

Development: Tu can hear and move his/her joints!  And fingerprints are developing this week.  It is so cool to think about all that happeneing!

Next Appointment: February 28! We will have the big anatomy scan and hopefully get some good pictures of Tu!

My appointment today went well.  At first, they couldn't find the heartbeat when I was in the exam room.  She kept hearing movement though.  But I still got sent for an ultrasound. :)  It was super quick- probably 60 seconds.  I got a quick glimpse of Tu and heard the heartbeat (164 bpm).  Apparently, Tu is a mover and a shaker! I also have an anterior placenta, which makes it hard to pick up the heartbeat.  If my placenta was in a different location, apparently, I would be feeling crazy movement!

Craving: Nothing really this week

Maternity Clothes: Not yet! Still using a rubberband on one pair. I am still fitting in my normal clothes for now, but I did find some of my bigger pants, so that has worked out well!

My email update this week said that the baby is growing toenails and getting its hairline... we hope Tu gets mine! :)

Living Like Tourists

We decided it was time for us to see Atlanta.  While there isn't much to see (besides traffic), there are a few things we knew we wanted to do while we live here.  It also didn't hurt that J could get us a discount! :)

First stop was The Varsity. (Shout out to Stuart and Miranda for the gift card!) The onion rings were AMAZING. And the fried apple pie was pretty good, too.  Check that off the 'Things to do in Atlanta' list!

 

Next stop was the Georgia Aquarium.  I guess everyone else had the same idea we did, because it was packed!!! We probably would have enjoyed it more if it was less crowded, but we still had a good time.  Caution: Picture Overload Commencing...

Tropical fish... I could have stayed all day in here!

We also saw the Dolphin Tale show.  The dolphins were really cool to see, but the whole show itself was lackluster.  It was included with the price, so you know we went! Ha!

After the aquarium, we headed to World of Coke.  It was neat, but I am not sure I would pay full price to go (and you know we didn't!)

After that, we were pretty tired! It was a fun day though... too bad we had to go back to work...

My picture this week didn't turn out very good, and it is too cold to put those clothes back on tonight... maybe I will try again tomorrow. Until then (or next week...), here is my view:

Caitlin has been here for about a week.  She has interviewed for 3 different newspapers! She even received a job offer from one today.  Not sure if she will take it or not, but it is exciting either way!

Maternity Clothes: Not yet! I did use a rubber band on a pair of pants this week, though.

Sleep: Besides waking up at least once a night to go to the bathroom, great!

Feeling: SO much better! Morning sickness is pretty much gone. I did discover that if I eat spicy food, I will get wicked heartburn though. Tums are on my nightstand! I am also still pretty tired, but that might be because I was used to sleeping in, and now I have to go to work!

Looking Forward to: Caitlin coming for a few days because of interviews

Movement: Still too early, but hopefully in the next few weeks

I had a good appointment today. Everything is measuring right on target. Tu's heartbeat was 158 bpm! Next appointment: January 31.
