Pickles!
This week, J finished training in Fayetteville. He still has some left to do, but usually just a day or two. He also took 5 tests this week, and we should find out this week how many he passed. Hopefully he passed them all so he only has 10 more to take!
Friday, we had a date night. We had gotten free movie tickets from Kroger through a promotion, so we went to Apex to see Date Night. I also had a Red Robin coupon, so we had supper there. We did a little shopping, and ended with the movie. It was a lot funnier than I thought it would be. It would have been better if the jerks behind us didn't talk to whole time....
Saturday, I cooked breakfast, then we headed to Mount Olive's Pickle Festival. I took a couple of pictures on my phone, so I will get those up here... eventually. They had tons of classic cars that were fun to look at. And of course all the typical street fair type stuff. And free pickles! There were a lot more people there than we thought. It was still fun, even if we didn't stay long.
Harris Teeter is tripling coupons starting Wednesday, so I am busy getting my coupons in order. :)
I have a conference Thursday and Friday, so this will be a short week for me! Only 33 more school days!
We finally decided what to do for our anniversary. We can hardly believe we've been married a year! We are just going to spend the day/night in Raleigh and enjoy not being in the car for hours. :) There is plenty to do in Raleigh, so why drive further? We are looking forward to it!
Here's to another great week!

Our first cook out!
J using our new grill for the first time
Digging our toes in!
This has been a great week!
J has been training to Fayetteville and getting off earlier. :) He has training again this week.
We went to the gym a couple of times, and I think we are going to join tomorrow.
Monday, we got our grill! We cooked out, and we are still eating all the food we cooked. It was a success!
My garden continues to grow! I took a picture Thursday (which I will post later), but tonight when we got home several of the plants I planted from seeds had sprouted! Very exciting. Check in next week for a picture of the new plants. :)
Friday, when J got off work (he actually had to work Friday), we headed to Edisto Island to see Richard. We had so much fun! It was beautiful and windy. We had never seen a beach quite like that. Richard made us frogmore (maybe that's how you spell it), and it was AMAZING! Today, the boys played golf. It was ridiculously windy. I am sure I have more windburn than sunburn from my trip to the beach.

Back to the Grind
It was a great week, but tomorrow it is back to work! J has training in Fayetteville this week and next week. I only have 2 more months of school!
Thursday, when J got off work, we headed to Lowe's to buy stuff for my garden. We also bought a lawn mower and a water hose, etc. And yes, I did have coupons!

I have squash, tomatoes, zucchini, bell peppers, chili peppers, broccoli, onions, spinach, lima beans, green beans, and okra. I am just hoping to get most of it to grow!
I also bought some flowers to put on the front porch. I am not really sure what they are, but they are pretty!

I have a couple of other pots with flowers, too. Our front porch is the prettiest on the block... well you know.. minus the paint. :)
J mowed our yard for the first time Friday night. It was mostly weeds, but it looked better for a couple of days!
Also, I have been having some computer problems- poor thing has died twice this past week, but I do have it functioning at the moment. Who knows how long it will last!?
Saturday night, we went to Apex to eat with Anna. We ate at Anna's Pizzeria. It was very good, even though none of us got pizza! I had an eggplant panini... yummy! Sunday after church, we tried out Cook-Out. Their menu was crazy! We both got burgers, and they came with two sides. Side choices included: hushpuppies, fries, onion rings, CHICKEN WRAP, BACON WRAP, CHICKEN QUESADILLA, CHICKEN NUGGETS. Um, yeah. I want a burger with a side of chicken nuggets, please. It can happen! We both got quesadillas, which weren't too bad. They also have more milkshake choices than DQ. We stuck with strawberry and chocolate. We each enjoyed our milkshakes. :)
We enjoyed a lazy Sunday, and are hoping to have a great week!

Happy Easter! Happy Spring Break! Happy Birthday!
Sorry it has been so long since a real update!
So far J likes his job. Something he likes even more? Being able to play golf!
Last Monday, I went to a workshop in Winterville, NC. It was okay, but not great. Oh well, at least I got paid mileage to go!
Thursday, J went to the dr, and we are hoping to hear this week when he will start his new medicine!
Friday, we woke up EARLY so I could catch my flight. My flights were even early on the way to KY! I had a great time in KY. Lots of food. It was so good to see my family. I even got to meet Brian, Caitlin's current boyfriend. We also worked a lot on our trip to Seattle in June/July. We will be renting a townhome in West Seattle near the beach with a rooftop deck! I can't wait to watch the fireworks from it! We had a little birthday party, too. Caitlin gave us all web cams so we can skype now. I also got the cutest lunch bag! I got some money, which has been spent on curtains, new dress shoes, and some pants. The rest is for my garden, which we will hopefully be starting tonight when J gets off work!
I also got to see the kittens. They are so cute. I picked out Runt, and we hung out the entire time we were there. I also sneezed a lot... hmmmm....
I made it back to Raleigh last night at about 9. The plane in Nashville had run out of carry-on space, so I had to check my luggage. I was so scared it wouldn't make it all the way from Nashville to Raleigh. Thankfully it did! J picked me up and had all my birthday cards from everyone and some tulips! We stopped and ate some BBQ on the way home. We just can't like Carolina BBQ. We need some real BBQ! I got home and started opening the mail because J wouldn't let me go anywhere else in the house. He had made me some cupcakes and bought some candles! So sweet. Then he led me back to our bedroom (don't worry, this is rated G), and there was a beautiful hanging plant for our front porch. There is a hook in the ceiling of a room, so J put it there so I wouldn't see it when I first got home. I am so spoiled!
Today, I checked out a gardening book from the library and bought some curtains for the living room. The sun shines in in the afternoons and heats it up quite a bit. So now we have some color, and it will be cooler!
Tomorrow I plan on working in my garden to get everything planted and ready! I will be sure to take some pictures!
