*Updated*
We have a ONE year old! So much has changed in the past year, it really has just zoomed by. He is becoming such a big boy and melts our hearts daily. This time last year was not 100% happy, but this year it is 1000% happy! We are off to the zoo to celebrate (although, let's be honest, I am the most excited about it :) )!
Clothes: 12 months & 18 months
Growing Up: He has FIVE teeth. He can clap his hands (He has been clapping things in his hands for months, but finally decided to use his hands. It's so cute)! He also started babbling! We have been waiting for this for a LONG time. He can say "dada," which thrills J, of course. He also says "bye" in context sometimes, but we're not 100% sure he knows what he's doing. Cooper waves hi and bye- when he wants to.
Likes: BLUEBERRIES, bouncing, playing outside, hitting the doorbell on his way downstairs, pointing, handing you something, reading the same book over and over and over and over..., pulling books off the shelf, putting his hand in the toilet (yuck!), being on his
knees, seeing daddy come home from work, watching people, gnawing on
wood (blocks, his crib, the entertainment center), his spoon, zucchini,
bread, hamburger, Cheerios, pasta (rotini), beans, strawberries, and his momma
Dislikes: "No", having his diaper or clothes changed, being cleaned up after eating, getting teeth, mommy walking away, walking (he'd rather crawl), the click of the gate when someone leaves his playroom
Schedule:
This is our basic schedule, but it changed depending on how well he naps and when he wakes up
7:00 - up for the day!
8:00 - breakfast
9:15 - nap
11:00 - play
12:15 - lunch
2:00 - nap
4:00 - play
6:15 - supper
7:00 - bath
7:30 - bedtime
Moments: First birthday party! He went to the nursery during church for the first time.. and LOVED it. He also had his first cold this month.
His doctor appointment went well. I think we chose a great doctor. The clinic itself is HUGE though! We can start Coop on dairy to see how he does with the hope of no reaction. I did try tomato again last night, and it's still a no go. :( The doctor said Cooper has maintained his percentages for height, weight, and head, so this is probably how he will grow for a while. Maintaining percentages mean a healthy child. :) Based on how Cooper was moving and pulling up, the doctor also predicted Cooper will be walking in the next 6 weeks. Uh oh!
Height: 31 in (90%)
Weight: 18 lbs 10 oz (10%)
Head: 44 cm (7%)
Next appointment: August 27 (15 months)
