Blue Screen of Death

The Blue Screen of Death showed its face on my computer last night. After trying to restart, I ran a diagnostic test. It was the hard drive. So we took it to a computer repair place today to see how much it would cost to get fixed. Way too much for us! We could almost buy me another laptop for the price of getting my old one fixed. So we have decided to just wait and save up for another computer for me (assuming John gets a job!)

John's class ends in 9 days!!! It will be a long nine days though.

I am training to serve this week. It's pretty easy and boring. If only people knew they were supposed to tip! I hope I at least make a little money when I start waiting tables on Thursday.

Mom, Dad, and Caitlin are stuck in Hawaii at the moment. Their flight has been delayed 3 hours, so they will miss their connecting flight to Nashville. Apparently, it's a madhouse with everyone trying to figure out flight plans and no air conditioning.

Hopefully, next week (after John's class finishes) we can go to Jackson and find a place to live. And maybe a job will fall out of the sky :)

Nothing Much

There hasn't been too much going on here lately. I took the PRAXIS PLT yesterday. I have to take the Education of the Hard of Hearing and Deaf next month. John is busy working on his project for his class. He will be finished in 10 days!!!

Work is going alright. I am not getting many hours, but it's better than nothing. This week I am training to wait tables, then Thursday and Friday I am waiting tables. I'm not that excited about it because no one tips at Peppers. I overheard some girls saying they make $30 on a good day working the entire lunch shift (which blows my mind after waiting tables at Lambert's). It will be a while, if ever, before I get to work past the lunch rush.

In a couple of weeks, we are going to go to Jackson to try to find an apartment or something. We'll be moving pretty soon. I am so tired of moving! This will be my 4th move in 3 years and John's 3rd in a year. Ugh! But hopefully one day we will make it out of MS!

Our pottery from Orcas Island arrived. We should have one more shipment coming soon!

"Who's baby is that?" -The Hangover

After a couple of long weeks, we are finally in Hattiesburg for a while. Friday night we went to go see The Hangover and to O'Charley's for John's birthday. We also rented a redbox on Thursday. If you go to their website and submit your email address, they will send you a code for a free rental! We still have 4 emails to use :) Saturday we watched a few movies on TV, and the best one was The Cider House Rules, which we had never heard of. It was really good, so you should see it.

I have orientation for my job at Sweet Peppers tomorrow. Hopefully I will start working Tuesday and bring that bacon home! Haha.

John's class is going well. Thankfully, the teacher did not make them sit in class for 4 hours Wednesday. He does have lots of work to do: research, a 20 page paper, and a presentation due on the 24th. But then he is finished!

I can also apply for graduation this week after I change my name in the registrar office! Woo Hoo!

Saturday I am taking my first Praxis II test. I am not looking forward to it, but no one in the Deaf Ed. program has failed the tests they are required to take, so I am hoping to do well. :)
