  • Cooper has decided to start riding his bike again! He is really getting the hang of it!
  • Our neighbors finally listed their house for sale. We've known it was coming, but it's sad. June is always asking to play with them.
  • It's been HOT!
  • Our kitchen remodel has been delayed. Ugh. It's going to happen. I hope. I have a range and a kitchen sink sitting here begging to be used.
  • J took Coop to the golf course for the first time. They just putted, chipped, and hit range balls. But Coop LOVED it!

six years

It's hard to believe we have been married for 6 years!  We couldn't have never imagined what we would be doing when we first got married, but we wouldn't change anything.

Our landscaping work got put on hold for the weekend, so J and I made a somewhat spontaneous trip to Nashville.  We had planned to do something, but with all the projects we have going on around the house, we were going to delay it.  Well, we had an opening and Nana and Papa were willing to come watch Coop with short notice!  I booked a hotel on Hotwire and we were off!

J has always wanted to eat at Loveless Cafe, so after a stop at Starbucks here in town, we drove to the Cafe for brunch.  The weather was great and the wait wasn't too long, so we just enjoyed the weather.

Biscuits

My breakfast- country ham, eggs, and potatoes

J's lunch- fried pork shops, mashed potatoes, and fried green tomatoes
The food wasn't outstanding or anything, but we can say we've been!  After stuffing ourselves, we headed to Centennial Park where they were having a free concert.  The weather was awesome!  We took a blanket and laid there enjoying the breeze.  We walked around the park some before checking into our hotel.

We told the lady checking us in that it was our anniversary, so she upgraded us to the club level.  Score!  This meant free snacks, free breakfast, and free internet! Woo hoo!  She told us the wrong room, so it took us a while to actually get into our room (another couple came and got into the room we thought was ours... awkward).  Anyway, we got it figured out and were still able to make it to the movie on time.

We saw Age of Adaline, which was pretty good but a little cheesy and very predictable.  We hadn't been to the movies since Catching Fire, so it was nice to be able to see one in theaters again!  After the movie, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for supper.  We were excited about it, but not really hungry (still full from Loveless!)  We ate at Puckett's Grocery, which was just 3 blocks from our hotel.

Piggy Mac n Cheese with corn cake.  SO. SO. SO. GOOD.

J's shrimp n grits with corn cake.  He said it was the best shrimp n grits he'd ever had.

Deep Fried Brownie Sundae
We felt lame just going back to the hotel, so we walked around for a little bit.

We headed up to the club room for snacks (not that we were hungry, but we wanted to grab some water).

Sunday, we had breakfast in the club room (though we didn't eat much- too much food Saturday!).  Then we went to Trader Joe's.  I know we live an exciting life and only do exhilarating things.  You can be jealous.  We picked up a few things (brownie petites, please!) and headed to the mall.  I wanted to get some new sheets and we picked up Coop some new shoes.  Then we ate at Noodles & Co.  Man, we have missed that place!!  We loved eating there when we lived in NC, but there wasn't one in ATL.  Japanese Pan Noodles is where it's at.  Then we headed home because we missed Coopy and couldn't wait to see him.  He did great with Nana and Papa, but mommy and daddy missed him.  We don't plan on leaving him again for a while. :)

Selfie in Noodles because we realized all of our pictures were of food
