[31]

Santa came yesterday!  I am hoping to have pictures up soonish, but I've got my hands full right now.  So don't expect it this year!

Also, Coop tried banana this morning.  He got some in his mouth and promptly spit it out! Haha.  It was cute!  We will try again at lunch.

[7]

  Cooper is 7 months old!

Clothes: 6-9 months, 9 months
Growing Up: Coop is still toothless!  The doctor confirmed he is teething, and judging by the fact that he is drooly and chews on EVERYTHING, I am sure she is right.  Now sure when his first tooth will show up though!  He is sitting up so well now and can stay up for a good while... if he wants to!  Coop is also on the move! While not really crawling, he can spin himself in circles, roll over and over and over to get somewhere, and push himself forward when laying (lying?) on his side.  He is pretty slow at the forward part, but if he wants the toy bad enough, he will get there! ALSO! HE SLEPT ALLLL NIGHT 3 times in the past month (Dec 18, 20, & 21).  Hoping he will start doing it more often... I feel SO much better when I sleep with no interruptions!

Likes: kicking his legs, sitting up, standing up (while leaning against something or holding onto fingers), sucking his thumb (and toes!), sleeping on his belly, knees, feet, fingers, doing the airplane with mommy, books, feeling different textures, throwing things, JUMPAROO!, someone coming to get him up from nap/bed time, FaceTiming with Daddy
Dislikes: Not being able get where he is going fast enough, not being able to roll over on soft surfaces, riding in the car for more than 45 minutes, daddy being sick

Schedule:
This is our basic schedule, but it changed depending on how well he naps and when he wakes up
7:30 - wake up and eat
9:15 - nap
11:00 - eat and play
1:30 - nap
3:30 - eat and play
4:45 - nap (if needed)
5:30 - eat and play
7:00 - bath
7:15 - eat and bedtime

Moments:  Cooper has his first Thanksgiving and Christmas (although we are still waiting to do our Christmas)! He slept all night (11.25 hours!).  He opened his first presents.

I am reintroducing dairy today.. hoping that goes well.  And after trying three times, I just can't bring myself to eat tomatoes on a regular basis yet.  While his reaction is NOTHING like it used to be, it still makes him uncomfortable and gassy.  Same with broccoli.  So my guess is dairy will be a no-go, but I gotta try!  Then we will move on to real food! Bananas are up first!

[29]

Hard to believe he is 29 weeks old.  Last time I posted this title, our mindset was much different.  So thankful that we have a happy, healthy baby to show off at 29 weeks old!

Doctor, Doctor

Well, J came home from Mississippi not feeling well.  He finally went to the doctor yesterday... and he has the flu.  He has worked some from home, but not a lot.  We will see what happens tomorrow.  This means that J had not held/touched/played with Cooper in several days.  Coop seems sad to see Daddy but not getting to play with him.  J is of course sad.. and naturally, I'm tired! :)

Coop had his 6 month well visit today.  The doctor again said he seems like a normal developing 6 month old!  She has no worries about him and said he seems happy.  That's what a momma likes to hear!!  The nurses also commented on his cuteness and his hair.  Everyone loves his fuzzy head!

Stats:

Weight: 15lbs 14 oz (20%)
Height: 27.5 in (80%)
Head: 16.5 in (8%)

Coop's long with a tiny head. Haha!  We dropped a bit in weight percentiles, but the doctor said that wasn't concerning because he is breastfed.  She also said he would be ready to start solids soon!  We are planning to start once we get back from Christmas in MS (after I reintroduce dairy to see if he can tolerate it... I sure hope so. I want some cheese!)

Next appointment: February 27 for his 9 month check up

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving!  Coop got to see all the grandparents and 6/7 great grandparents.  (Gran wasn't feeling well, so she didn't get to see him.)

We left Tuesday night at bedtime.  Coop was wide awake for the first 20 minutes or so, then slept pretty much the whole way.  That was the plan, of course.  Unfortunately, once we got there, he thought it was time to play.  We only had one good night while we were there, but thankfully, he took pretty good naps.

Wednesday, we just hung around the house, did a looking baking/cooking, and of course, a trip to Dirt Cheap!  We got a pair of pants for Cooper, and Marion got a few Christmas items.  Everyone enjoyed playing with Coop.  He has a lot more tricks now than he used to!

Thursday, J's grandparents, uncle, and cousin same over for lunch.  Cooper was the star of the show!

We ate and played.  Coop was worn out and slept great during naps and at night!

Friday, we left early to head to Tupelo.  We ate some more!  Tis the season!  We enjoyed seeing my parents and grandparents, but I am pretty sure they enjoyed seeing Cooper more.  He loved playing with a spoon... including dropping it over and over.  One time, he even got it stuck in all his chins.  :)  Yes, there is a picture of it!  That's our boy!

This is one of my favorite pictures... probably ever. :)

Boys doing what boys do- sleeping

Why won't the spoon move?  Oh yeah, stuck in my chins!

Saturday, we went to see Santa at the mall.  We were the first ones there, so we didn't have to wait.  Cooper did great, and the picture turned out so cute!

J and I also went shooting with his dad.  It was my first time, but after having another patio creeper (during the day!), I decided I wanted to know how to use and shoot our gun.

My first target

Sunday, we went to church, then had a quick lunch and hit the road.  Thankfully, Coop slept almost to Birmingham.  Then he fussed/screamed the rest of the way. :(  Seems like traveling at night is the way to go from now on.

It was so nice to not have a rushed trip and get to see everyone!  Although, it is nice to sleep in our own bed without a screaming baby in the room. :)  Christmas will be here before we know it!

[27]

Coop is enjoying being home after several days away.  I am not sure he has even jumped so much in the jumparoo!  We had a great time in MS (post to come), but for now, here is our Coop at 27 weeks old!
