[15]

Another month has flown by!  He has become such a big boy over the past month.

Clothes: 12 months & 18 months- 12 months in separates, 18 months in onesies and jumpers.  We are getting close to 24 months though!

Growing Up: Cooper is finally walking!  He chooses to walk most of the time now.  He still crawls a little, but it is rare.  He can also finally (and consistently) get to standing without any help.  He can sign eat and more, but often gets them confused.  They basically mean the same thing to him anyway!  He started saying 'boom!'  It sounds like 'bow' (take a bow), and it is so cute.  Coop also waves bye when someone leaves even if we don't say anything about them leaving.  He has also figured out how to climb!  We often find him standing on a chair or his table.  Thankfully, he has also figured out how to get down.

Likes: berries, rolls, carrots, walking, riding mommy like a horse, riding his horse, when you say 'boom!', climbing on things, trying to plug in things, books, having his head scratched, walking up the stairs with daddy's help, throwing the pillows off the couch, stacking the coasters, emery boards, taking clothes off the rack at Dirt Cheap, balls, books, leaves- dead and crunchy ones especially, waffles, digging through the trash

Dislikes: when you take away something he was playing with, mommy leaving him in the nursery, when he wants something to eat he can't have, riding the in car (this should have been on here since birth, but I'm not sure it has been!), when you give him something to eat he doesn't want

Schedule:
This is our basic schedule, but it changes depending on how well he naps and when he wakes up
7:00 - up for the day!
8:15 - breakfast
9:30 - nap
11:00 - play
12:15 - lunch
2:30 - nap
4:00 -snack
4:30 - play
6:15 - supper
7:00 - bath
7:30 - bedtime

Moments:  Cooper spent his first night at Kate Kate's.  He had olives for the first time and really liked them.  He LOVED spending time with Kate Kate.  He was sad to go home!  He got to ride in a golf cart for the first time while visiting her.  Cooper also has had tomato for the first time!  He had BBQ, too, but wasn't a fan.

We are excited for football season- it is upon us!  Hopefully, Cooper will get to go to Starkville for some football this year (although he won't actually go to the game.)

His check up today went well.  Nothing really to report as he is developing on track. Yay!

Height:  31.75 in (75%- he appears to be slowing down in height.  It's about time since we aren't really tall people!)
Weight:  21 lbs 3 oz (25%- we moved way up in the percentiles!)
Head:  45 cm (8%)

Next appointment: December 1

Cooper's Bathroom

Well, we got it done by September!  We sure cut it close though.  Since it is the same color as the guest room, it got painted, but nothing else.  One day the light fixture and ceiling fan will be replaced, although we probably will not put a ceiling fan back in the room. :-)

We had planned on just painting the living room, Coop's playroom, and the entry when the work was completed on them.  However, they weren't as quick as they hoped (or we would have liked), so when my parents came down we couldn't paint them.  So mom helped me paint the guest bathroom instead.  Everything has a fresh coat of paint or two- trim, crown molding, and walls.  The ceiling and doors are waiting their turn sometime in the future though.  It also is sporting new light switches and a new outlet (that we are still trying to make work...)  The entry, and living room/playroom will, too... hopefully this week.  So check back early next week for a post about that!

I forgot to take before pictures, so just picture khaki walls, beat up trim, and a valance over the shower with 80s fabric stuffed with tissue paper.

You can really see how big it is in this picture.  And how much wasted space there is.

The house is slowly starting to feel like us.  And a fresh coat of paint never hurt anything either.
