[17] months June

Happy 17 months Junebug!

Diapers: size 3 & 4 + cloth

Clothes:  12-18 months, 18 months

Growing Up:  She still isn't saying anything besides momma and the occasional daddy. We feel like she is really close to saying some words, and maybe she is! We might not have caught on just yet Sometimes we think we hear her say something, but she won't ever repeat it for us. She does sign please consistently now, so at least she is polite when making her demands. June got a bottom tooth this month and both upper molars. She likes to try to use her fork, but mainly just likes for us to get something on it for her. She is more than happy to put a full fork in her mouth. Cooper taught her how to act like a gorilla, so she will run around beating her chest and yelling. It's so cute! She has also gotten pretty good with the shape sorter. And the big thing (in my opinion) is that she is now consistently sleeping all night. She usually sleeps from 7:15 until 6:30-7:00. I feel like a new person!

Likes: mommy (I'm not sure why I am just not putting this here. It should have been here from day 1), ROLLS (mainly mommy's), playing in Cooper's chair, the sand box, bouncing, swinging for short periods of time, seeing daddy come home from work, climbing up and down stairs,  finding mommy in a room, playing peek a boo, playing chase, being held while the holder is standing up, being outside, handing things to you, putting a toy in and out of something (bag, box, etc), biting noses and toes, bringing you a book to read and sitting in your lap, bedtime book with daddy, knocking over towers, waving, walking around carrying her jammies or sleep sack, cantaloupe & watermelon, throwing balls, coloring, point at animals or pictures of animals

Dislikes: being overtired, being still, getting teeth, "no", being hangry, having something taken away from her, not being able to get into the garage from outside, mommy leaving her, when she can't have everyone else's roll after she finishes hers, people other than mommy (most of the time :( ), the hair on the horsie

Schedule:

7:00- 7:15- up
7:45- breakfast
9:00-9:15 power nap if she wakes up early- sometimes this happens when dropping Coop off at school
12:00- lunch (12:15 on T&TH)
12:30- 1:00- down for nap
6:00- supper
6:45- bath
7:00- bedtime

Moments: June went to the beach for the first time. She is pretty undecided about it!

Solar Eclipse

Our next door neighbors joined us for the drive to KY to view the eclipse. We had such a good time. We packed a picnic and ate on the porch. The kids would run around and play, then stop and check on the progress of the moon. Jeanette packed yellow (sun) and brown (moon) M&Ms for us to eat as we watched it progress. After totality was over, we packed up and headed home. My kids napped on the way. Once we got home, the kids picked up where they left off in KY and ran back and forth playing until supper. :)

Just starting

Got it made now!

Destin 2017

Our first beach trip as a family of four. Coop LOVED the beach and the ocean. The water was super calm Wednesday and Thursday, so we was in the out of the water all by himself. June on the other hand.... she tolerated it mostly. She did enjoy floating in the ocean in her float one day. She definitely preferred the pool.

Overall, it was such a great trip! We were worn out, but the weather was great, the water beautiful, and the time together priceless.
